WE SERVE ADELAIDE METROPOLITAN
Developmental problems in young children are common and have lifelong implications for health and well-being. Early detection of developmental problems provides an opportunity for early intervention to shift a child’s developmental trajectory and optimize their potential.
The main aim of early intervention is to identify and treat delays using specific clinical tests and measures. Physiotherapy does not require a referral, but it is a good idea to speak with your GP or child and family health nurse if you have concerns about your child's health or development. They can assist you if a specialist referral is required.
MUSCULOSKELETAL PHYSIOTHERAPY FOR ADULTS
The most common complaint that gets the attention of most of us to seek help is PAIN. Before the pain arises, our body tries to communicate via symptoms like weakness, changes in our ability to move daily, and restricted or excessive joint ranges. Muscle mass decreases approximately 3–8% per decade after the age of 30 and this rate of decline is even higher after the age of 60. A well-structured exercise program and lifestyle management can help combat this decline.
To determine if physiotherapy is effective, tracking progress, noticing changes in pain levels, scoring for function, and overall well-being is essential. It is vital to have an assessment that clearly explains what is going wrong and the pathway to change this long-term.
If you have received a diagnosis and previously tried physiotherapy without much improvement, you are not alone. Many of our clients have come to us through recommendations from others who have had similar experiences.
