Stroke Rehabilitation

Overview: Recovery after a stroke can be challenging, but our specialized rehabilitation programs are designed to help restore function and improve independence.

Treatments

  • Early Mobilization and Task-Specific Training: Engaging patients in early mobilization and repetitive task-specific training improves motor function and reduces disability. This includes activities such as walking, balancing, and practicing daily tasks that mimic real-life activities (BMJ) (Cambridge).

  • Robotic-Assisted Therapy: Utilizing robotic devices to assist with repetitive movement training. These devices help provide consistent, controlled, and intensive practice of motor tasks, which is essential for motor recovery (BioMed Central).

  • Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT): A technique where the unaffected limb is restrained, forcing the use of the affected limb. This promotes neural plasticity and improves the function of the impaired limb (Cambridge).
